Artist's Comments

I have no title for this that can suit it best. I drew this on an impulse of sadness, and it was all I could think about.

It's time to reveal something about my original character, Krux. I modeled his appearence after myself. His face, and even some of my body type, he is me in a way. That is who you see here in this work.

If anybody wonders about the name on the tombstone, it's my father's. He was killed when I was only a baby, so I never new him. I simply couldn't bear not to do this. I never really gave myself a chance to mourne him, so this is my way to do a little of that. I cried over this several times while drawing it, and one last time when I finished it.

On the other hand, I don't really mean to make anybody feel sorry for me, and I don't ask for pity. I mearly wanted to let those who actually read this comment to know what this is, and why I did it. Comments of all kinds are still welcomed and expected, so nobody needs to hold back.

Sorry to be such a downer, it's not my style, I hope someone can still enjoy this.

Sometimes the best thing you can do is simply have your own kind of funeral, or closure, to commerate.
I like it, it's a nicely drawn pic, and with the meaning behind it, kinda says a whole lot more.

Never forget that the world around you is a fleeting thing, and that though our bodies may not last forever, love does. So hug a friend today, for kindness extends much farther than you think it does.

Thanks a lot, you're one of the few who actually give a meaningful and detailed comment, your insight is much appreciated and I hope that I receive more from you and others like you in the future.

I find it amusing when you fight back.

You can always come back to look at this now, along with pictures to let yourself know that he is always going to be part of you. Not to be stupid but if you mom was right, all you have to do is look in the mirror to see him in a somewhat physical sense. Great work as always love, something you should definatly be proud of :cling:

You aren't being a downer, you're expressing your feelings through what you like to do the most ^_^ And it's very moving as well to see something so personal in the form of art.. This is really great work

I liked it that much ^^ It's not often I get to see and actually understand what someone's trying to say with a drawing or a painting, so..

Well, it's a part of art to sometimes just be blatent and blunt. I just took a shot in the dark and put myself out there. Besides, that's just the way I am sometimes.

Is it any easier to think about this now that you've drawn this? If I'm coming off as nosy, I'm really sorry >_<

You're not being nosy. Well, it's feels sort of easier, I usually have to hold my tongue for other people and I hate that.
